Artist Bio: Voeed Chao Wang is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist working across Canada, UK and China. Winner of 2019 John Ruskin Prize, he holds an MA in photography at Royal College of Art and honours BA in architecture from University of Toronto. Voeed Chao Wang works in multiple mediums, including photography, installation, video, and print. He often employs architectural elements and techniques in his work, such as architectural image rendering techniques. His research and subjects often involve the state of metropolis-dwellers, acts of look (such as gaze and voyeurism) and the utopia-dystopia theme in contemporary urban context.
Voeed Chao Wang was shortlisted in the 2020 Lumen Prize, Moving Image category.
