At the time of the space conquest, a new landscape is born, the infinite universe without any horizon. Cassini space probe was on Orbit of Saturn during eight years by recording photos. This video was produced from these photos mounted in time lapse. These elements are used like 'ready mades'. The space conquest shattered our horizon and posed a new paradigm of the landscape. All these images coming from the depths of of our solar system expose us to an infinite, fluctuating and moving immeasurable well of knowledge defining an infinite quantum space called Universe…. This video allegorically deals with all these questions asked.

Artist Bio

Born in 1967, Valéry Grancher is a French-born artist, theorist, curator and lecturer, living and working in Paris and Hong Kong since 2014. He first became well known in the mid-1990s for being one the first net artists (online art) and for his 'Google paintings' but his artistic practice is vast and covers internet art, video, photography, painting, AI painting and VR installation . Valéry Grancher is an explorer. His curiosity leads him to investigate all kinds of territories such as the different media and new technology to define new forms and concepts.
