It is a simultaneous hermaphrodite allowing any two individuals to reproduce with each other. Its skin is covered in an acidic mucus which discourages predation.

Artist Bio:

Aron Sanchez-Baranda documents wildlife, fungi,and natural phenomena found along the Californian coast. His art rejects didactic structure in favor of sensory abstraction; exploring the permeability of context, perception, and psychic entanglement. Primarily utilizing video, photography, and field recordings to realize his current body of work , Sanchez- Baranda has now begun expanding into sculpture and fabrication. He’s recently created pieces for Apple, musicians including Arca and Kingston Family Singers, and partnered with the state of California to support environmental initiatives. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his cat.
